Are You Truly a Seeker of God?

The Lord called King David a man after His own heart. Yes, he sinned, but he always returned back to the Lord. He repented and never repeated any offense a second time. In the morning You hear my voice, O Lord; in the morning I prepare a prayer for You and watch and wait for You to speak to my heart (Psalm 5:3). Your Word says that 'if I will seek the Lord my God, I will find Him if I truly seek Him with all my heart and mind and soul and life (Deuteronomy 4:29). So, here I am, Lord!

With my whole heart will I seek You, and yearn for You; O let me not wander or step aside (either ignorantly or willfully) from Your commandments. Your Word will I lay up in my heart, that I might not sin against You (Psalm 119:10). And, I will seek You on the authority of Your Word and know that You hear me, and have delivered me and will continue to deliver me from all my fears (Psalm 34:4).

O God, You are my God, earnestly will I seek You; my inner self thirsts for You, my flesh longs and is faint for You, in a dry and weary land where no water is. So, I have looked upon You in the sanctuary to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. So will I bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your Name. My whole being shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. When I remember You upon my bed, and meditate on You in the night watches. For You have been my help; and in the shadow of Your wings will I rejoice. My whole being follows hard after You and clings closely to You; and Your right hand of strength upholds me (Psalm 63:1-8).
