God foreordained you (destined you, planned in love for you) to be adopted (revealed) as His own child through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will because it pleased Him and was His kind intent, so that you might be to the praise and commendation of His glorious grace (favor and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on you in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:5,6).
The Spirit Himself testifies together with your own spirit assuring you that you are a child of God. And, if you are His child, then you are His heir also; an heir of God and fellow heir with Christ sharing His inheritance with Him; only you must share His suffering if you are to share His glory (Romans 8:16,17).
Once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; so, walk as a child of Light. For the fruit of the Spirit consists in every form of kindly goodness, uprightness of heart, and trueness of life (Ephesians 5:8,9). Be an imitator of God (copy Him and follow His example), as a well-beloved child imitates her father. And walk in love, esteeming and delighting in others as Christ loved you and gave Himself up for you, a slain offering and sacrifice to God for you, so that it became a sweet fragrance (Ephesians 5:1,2).
God is effectively at work in you, energizing and creating in you the power and desire, both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight (Philippians 2:13). And, may you in the midst of all He has set before you, be able to say, “Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in matters too great or in things too wonderful for me. Surely, I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child is my soul within me (ceased from fretting)" (Psalm 131:1,2).
