This light in your eyes of you whose heart is joyful rejoices the hearts of others, and the good news you speak nourishes their bones (Proverbs 15:30).
Arise and stand upon your feet; for God has appeared to you for this purpose that He might appoint you to serve as his minister to bear witness both to what you have seen of Him and to that in which He will appear to you, choosing you out (selecting you for Himself) and delivering you from among the Jewish people and the Gentiles to whom He is sending you – to open their eyes that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may thus receive forgiveness and release from their sins and a place and portion among those who are consecrated and purified by faith in Christ (Acts 26:16-18).
For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as a child of Light (Ephesians 5:8). Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining against God and questioning and doubting, that you may show yourself to be blameless and guileless, innocent and a uncontaminated child of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation among whom you are as a bright light in the dark world, holding out to it and offering to all men the Word of Life, so that in the day of Christ you may have something of which exultantly to rejoice and glory in that you did not run your race in vain or spend your labor to no purpose (Philippians 2:14-16).
God's Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). And, He has called you to be a light to the world, a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father who is in heaven (Matthew 5:14,16).
He has crowned you with glory and honor. He has made you to have dominion over the works of His hands. He has put all things under your feet (Psalm 8:5,6). He beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy; He satisfies your mouth with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagles (strong, overcoming, soaring!)(Psalm 103:4,5). And, this light in your eyes of you whose heart is joyful rejoices the hearts of others, and the good news you speak nourishes their bones (Proverbs 15:30).
So, choose to do the following fast: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every enslaving yoke. Divide your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house – when you see the naked, that you cover him, and that you hide not yourself from the needs of your own flesh and blood. Then shall your light break forth like the morning, and your healing (your restoration and the power of a new life) shall bring forth speedily; your righteousness shall go before you and the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard (Isaiah 58:6-8).
